I have another name, another blog.

Hi, dear readers. This is Karen. Today, I have a confession to make.
In the blogosphere, I have another name and another blog.

Another name of mine is 'Rach' and another blog of mine is シットコムで笑え! 海外ドラマ「フレンズ」英語攻略ガイド .
When I checked a while ago, シットコムで笑え! ranked 7th in the ranking site にほんブログ村 英語ブログ . (FYI: 'Karen's blog supplemental' ranked 14th.)

Do you know that blog? Has anybody noticed this 'Karen = Rach' secret?

I've just posted an article written in Japanese もう一つの私のブログ on Rach's blog. I'll be glad if you read the article as well.

I'm SO sorry to have kept my identity secret for more than a year. I didn't intend to lie to you. I'd just like you to read my English without bias and without favor.

If you had known my detailed profile, you might've thought, "Karen successfully passed Grade 1 of the EIKEN Test. Karen's TOEIC score is 945. I don't know if her writing is good or not. But considering her 'brilliant' qualification, her writing must be excellent."

So I decided to conceal my qualification and background. If you happen to visit Karen's blog and feel like reading my diary, I feel so happy. If you wouldn't like to read it, which means that my writing is not attractive enough to engage your interest. I'd just like to know if my writing is worth reading or not.

I didn't say 'Karen is Rach' thing before. However, a lot of readers have made a lot of compliments to me. I felt so glad & honored. You guys just judged my English ability ONLY from my writing.

Your heart-warming & encouraging words have got me going. I can never thank you enough.

Oh, before I forget, one thing; Both 'Rach' and 'Karen' are named after the leading character on the popular U.S. sitcom Friends. Her name is "Rachel Karen Greene (or Green)."

Some might realize that there's a co-blogger named Joe on this blog. I'm sorry to say this, but today I don't talk about him and our history.

I've been writing this blog as Karen, which has made it possible for me to meet a lot of people. I feel so happy to have met you in this 'English diary' category.

I'm looking forward to talking to you here & there as a diarist Karen. I'll keep writing. I hope you'll also keep writing there.

◇ Karen a.k.a. (=also known as) Rach ◇

-Both of you-
Hi, Karen. I've read your two blogs. Both are so fantastic, I suppose. Running two blogs seems to be hard, doesn't it? I used to do the same thing as you do now a few years ago. Finally I got confused and lost the ideas what to write down. I gave up one, an English diary. After some years, I came back. That was the blog you see now as the diary. I will read your both blogs from now on. Because they're worth reading, I believe.

-I'm going to buy your book!-
Hi, レイチ!:)
I'm glad to know your secret at last.
And I was surprised!!!
You have another blog, published a book, 英検1級、TOEIC 945点(Wow!)...How brilliant you are! That's why you are sooo good at writing English. I was impressed by your amazing work. I wonder how you have been juggling all your work, having two children.
Since I have Friends' DVDs which I haven't seen for more than a year, I'm going to buy your book, read your other blog as well and study their lines thoroughly.
I had no idea where your name, Karen came from and also about “supplemental”...I should check it out!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful writing.

From another レイチ :)

-MY another blog-
Hi, Rach Karen!

You write this amount of English on top of THAT amount of Japanese blog post everyday? WOW.

It's not a competition thing, but, I got a confession to make, too.
I have a blog totally in English. It's all about knitting, because I'm a Knitter. I linked mine to this comment, so come and take a look if you feel like. I don't urge you to, though. It may be ... absurd for a non-knitter (Muggles, in our - knitters' - language, referring Harry Potter.)

You and I have totally different approach to English. You love English, learning and studying English itself. I am just using English. My first language is Osaka-dialect (No. Not Japanese. I am not comfortable with "standard" Japanese.), and the second just happened to be English. It could have been Spanish, or Turkish. I have to say I am so glad it was English. It made my life easier, and broader.
That said, isn't it amazing that we can communicate pretty comfortably not only in our first language but in our second, too?

So.
We'll talk a lot, on and off the blog, Japanese or English. I feel so blessed that I have you as my friend.

Thank you for reading both my blogs. As you imagined, maintaining two blogs are quite hard for me.
>I got confused and lost the ideas what to write down.
I totally understand your feelings. I always have trouble finding what to write on my English diary.
Thank you for saying that both of my blogs are worth reading.

Reichiさんへ
You finally knew my secret. That was a big deal, right? Now you can imagine how surprised I was to see your name 'Reichi' on Karen's blog.

Thank you for your compliment. Moreover, I'm so glad to hear you saying, "I'm going to buy your book!"
I'm looking forward to talking to you, レイチ!

Yes, it's so amazing that we talk only in English like this. I've never imagined that we could communicate each other naturally & comfortably in English. Your English blog is great! I'm a lover of English, and you are a lover of knitting. We both must be happy because we have something to live for.

I tried to leave a comment on your English blog, but I couldn't because I don't have Google Account. So sorry.
You'll return to your homeland soon, right? I'm looking forward to meeting you & your family. Take care!
